Something to sink your teeth into.
An art piece on the glory of life and death. Of knowing that each death leads to a new life. Forever. For better or worse.
A cast sterling bat jaw was used to symbolism life and death. Birth and rebirth. Letting go of the past versions of yourself. Letting go of all the disappointments that others have caused inside of that ever growing wall that you put up. A Mozambique Garnet was used to symbolize a seedling breaking through new soil. Cast sterling ferns grow out like roots providing new life.
The whole piece is constructed from sterling silver and heavily textured by hand to mimic rock and soil. A dark patina offsets the matte finish and the teeth and ferns pop with a bright shine.
This piece is a size 7.25
